Year 10 Health and Social Care students study benefits of Creative and Therapeutic activities
On the 21st June our Year 10 Health and Social Care students centre visited the Courtney Centre where there was a lively tea dance in session. Within minutes several of the students were up learning some new moves with some very willing (and patient) teachers. Students are currently studying the benefits of Creative and Therapeutic activities as part of their course and could immediately see and feel the positive effects on the health and wellbeing of all the people there, from cognitive stimulation of learning steps to the joy they experienced from dancing and socialising with others that supports their emotional development. Thank you to all involved, from the twinkle toed dancers to the UTC students who behaved impeccably and made us proud.
